What you need to pay via UnionPay
Before starting your transfer make sure you have
- The supplier’s full name as shown on their Chinese National ID
- The supplier’s Mainland China ID card number
- The supplier’s UnionPay card number
- An invoice for the payment
How to pay via UnionPay on REasy
- Open the REasy app
- Go to Send Money
- Make sure your account is topped up with sufficient XAF balance
- Choose UnionPay as the delivery method
- Enter the amount you want to send in CNY you will see the XAF equivalent conversion
- Add or select your supplier as a beneficiary
- Upload the invoice for this transaction
- Enter the Full Name of the supplier exactly as on their Chinese ID
- Enter the UnionPay card number
- Review all details and confirm your payment
REasy will convert your XAF to CNY and send the money to your supplier’s UnionPay card
Limits for UnionPay payments
- Maximum 35,000 CNY per transfer
- Maximum 400,000 CNY per year per recipient
- Only Mainland Chinese Citizens can receive money via UnionPay personal cards
- The supplier’s UnionPay card must be linked to a CNY bank account that supports international transfers
Important notes
- The supplier’s name must match exactly the name on their UnionPay card and bank account
- Only personal bank accounts are supported
- If limits are exceeded or if the information does not match the payment will fail and be refunded
- UnionPay does not support business accounts through this method
When will the money arrive
In most cases funds are received on the same working day
If the supplier reaches their daily or monthly limit the funds may arrive the next working day
