How to Pay My Supplier via Alipay

With REasy you can easily pay your supplier in China via Alipay
This is one of the most popular ways to send CNY for goods and services

What you need to pay via Alipay

Before starting your transfer make sure you have

  • The supplier’s full name as shown on their Alipay account
  • The supplier’s Alipay ID this is their phone number linked to Alipay
  • An invoice for the payment

How to pay via Alipay on REasy

  1. Open the REasy app
  2. Go to Send Money
  3. Make sure your account is topped up with sufficient XAF balance
  4. Choose Alipay as the delivery method
  5. Enter the amount you want to send in CNY you will see the XAF equivalent conversion
  6. Add or select your supplier as a beneficiary
  7. Upload the invoice for this transaction
  8. Enter the Full Name of the account holder exactly as it appears on Alipay
  9. Enter the Alipay ID phone number linked to the supplier’s Alipay account
  10. Review all details and confirm your payment

REasy will convert your XAF to CNY and send the money to your supplier’s Alipay account

Limits for Alipay payments

  • Maximum 50,000 CNY per transfer
  • Maximum 600,000 CNY per year per recipient

Only Mainland Chinese Citizens can receive CNY via Alipay
Business accounts are not supported via this method

Help your supplier complete the process

For first-time recipients or if the supplier’s Alipay account is not fully verified Alipay may ask them to complete a declaration (called 申报 in Chinese) to receive international payments

You can share this official Alipay resource with your supplier to help them understand and complete the process

You can copy and send this link to your supplier in China so they can follow the correct steps and receive the money smoothly

Troubleshooting

If Alipay asks your supplier to complete the declaration (申报) and your supplier refuses or cannot complete it
Ask the supplier to provide a different Alipay account that is already verified for receiving international payments

If this is not possible you can also consider using an alternative payment method such as UnionPay or Bank Transfer

When will the money arrive

Most Alipay payments are processed within minutes
For first-time recipients or if verification is required it may take up to 72 hours

Important notes

  • The supplier’s name must match exactly the name on their Alipay account
  • Only personal Alipay accounts are supported
  • If incorrect details are entered the payment will fail and be refunded
