When you pay your supplier via Alipay using REasy the funds are delivered directly in CNY to their Alipay account
This is one of the most popular and fast methods to pay Chinese suppliers
How the process works
- You complete the payment through REasy
- REasy converts your XAF to CNY and sends the funds to the supplier’s Alipay account
- The supplier receives a notification from Alipay
- The money is credited to their Alipay wallet or their linked bank account depending on their settings
First time receiving
If this is the first time your supplier is receiving international payments on Alipay they will need to follow these steps
- Receive an SMS from Alipay with a link
- Open the Alipay app with this link
- Complete real name verification if not already done
- Sign the service agreement
- Choose where to receive the funds Alipay wallet or linked bank account
After these steps the money will be credited
Constraints and limitations from China side
- Only Mainland Chinese Citizens can receive money via Alipay
- Maximum 50,000 CNY per transfer
- Maximum 600,000 CNY per year per recipient
- The name you provide must exactly match the name on the supplier’s verified Alipay account
- If the supplier exceeds these limits the payment will fail and be refunded
Timing
In most cases funds are received within a few minutes after payment
For first time recipients or if additional verification is required it may take up to 72 hours
Important notes
- Business Alipay accounts are not supported only personal individual accounts
- The supplier must have completed full Alipay verification
- If incorrect details are provided the payment will fail
